Just now took a look at Yes! Weekly’s list of county government and public education salaries.

Here’s what struck me when looking at the list —-you’ve got Guilford County Schools Superintendent Mo Green at the top with a salary of $250,000 (Green has repeatedly refused raises during his five years with GCS) followed by Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Superintendent Beverly Emory with a salary of $190,000.

After Emory, there are 16 GCS administrators before you get to WSFCS assistant superintendent Kenneth Simington, whose $111,000 salary is the same as the other three assistant superintendents. Then you have Piedmont Triad Leadership Academy Executive Director Anna Brady and her $108,000 salary, followed by another 12 GCS administrators.

Which again raises the question about bloated administrations while protestors shout about the immorality of school budget cuts.
