In addition to promoting a new website ? HealthReformReport.com ? that tracks the impact of federal health care reform legislation, Newt Gingrich‘s latest column for Human Events offers a six-month progress report on ObamaCare:

Thursday, September 23 marks the six-month anniversary of President Obama signing into law the massive, big government, bureaucratic health care overhaul he and Congressional Democrats rammed through Congress. The law contains nearly 500 deadlines that must be met through 2020.

This six-month anniversary marks the date on which several major provisions take effect. These include forcing insurance companies to allow adult children up to age 26 to remain on their parents? plans (which will increase premiums for all individuals), elimination of annual and lifetime limits on essential health benefits, and prohibiting insurance companies from not paying for a child?s preexisting condition.

These provisions are just several of the hundreds that the Congressional Budget Office has determined will raise premiums for everyone and move America along the path toward government-controlled health care. With every passing day, new regulations are being written around this destructive law.
