Trend or coincidence? I pass the following two items, one from NC State and the other from USC and both within the last couple of weeks, along without any further commentary:

Item One: Nude photos spark controversy
Possibly altered images posted on Web site involve faculty member
As photographs of a naked woman surfaced on The Wolf Web late Wednesday night, Anita Flick, a lecturer in biological sciences, found herself embroiled in a battle with the Web site to disprove she was the woman in the images.

Item Two: NBC 7/39’s sister station in Los Angeles reported that the Web page of a USC professor is causing concern because of several photos posted on it. Dr. Diana York Blaine is a professor of Women’s Studies and a self-described “philosopher, writer, adventurer, and buttkicker.” NBC Los Angeles reported that Blaine’s personal Web site includes a trio of topless photos of the professor.
