The US Forest Service is considering buying 76 acres of land near the Pisgah National Forest. The $2.75 million purchase price will be padded with $1 million from the Land and Water Conservation Fund. The fund is a brainchild of Congress. It is yet another tool for government to take money from its loyal subjects, so it can take their land as well. Lest this sound harsh, we are reminded that once government is in control of the land, climate change can be abated.
