I’ve been dorking around on the Tax Foundation’s web site while I try to eat dinner. We can’t get political here, and so I am only offering this based on my past experience with the organization as offering probably the best statistical analyses of federal public policy to be found. They may not be the only ones adept at mathematical modeling, but they’ve got the manpower to navigate government web sites, ask the right questions about numbers parameterized for liberal-arts consumption, define interactions of dozens of time-dependent variables, and throw out scenarios that make no sense. That is, these guys won’t be handing you a 400% return on investment for a policy that is clearly eating its own lifeline.
