In today’s WSJ, Bret Stephens has an enlightening column in which he looks at the psychology of the climate alarmism movement. In it, he sees evidence of “the totalitarian impulse” — that is, that the alarmists act as if the thing that matters above all is for them to get control of other people and dictate their behavior. Of course, this will be done for noble reasons and if people foolishly complain, well, it’s for their own good.
