As a researcher from the Appalachian State University Energy Center tried again this week to clarify the center’s estimates about potential economic benefits from government climate change policies, the Asheville Citizen-Times sought comment from JLF Vice President for Research Roy Cordato. He has been detailing errors associated with the Energy Center’s work. Speaking of climate change policy, Legal and Regulatory Policy Analyst Daren Bakst recently offered some suggestions for improving the final product of the N.C. Legislative Commission on Global Climate Change. The Asheville Tribune highlighted Bakst’s work. (Bakst also offered an argument against targeted tax incentives in a recent pro-con opinion feature published in the Wilmington Star-News.)
