A DailyKos diarist says the U.S. needs to be invaded and occupied by a foreign power. Some say that’s already happened. But, actually, in a perverse way, invasion of the sort depicted in the 1984 film “Red Dawn” might show libs and lefties who actually comes to the defense of the nation.
Far from showing Americans how to “empathize” with people living in war zones, as the DKos diarist predicted, I have no doubt that invasion and occupation would teach many Americans how precious their freedom is, and they would take up their own personal firearms and defend the nation and what it stands for. While DKos lefties and libs might revel in the victimhood of occupation and see it as our “just desserts,” most Americans, I have no doubt, would fight and resist until victory.
