You might remember a 2006 report from the Pope Center for Higher Education Policy that criticized most UNC system schools for restrictive speech codes.
The Pope Center’s partner in that report, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), reports this week that a number of campuses have made significant improvements since that initial report.
