Republican legislative leaders followed last night’s State of the State address by pointing this morning to ideas that would help state government make a dent in its estimated $3 billion budget shortfall.
The GOP ideas:
- Consolidate More at Four and Smart Start;
- Explore suspending state public school class size mandates;
- Employ enhanced software to identify and reject improper Medicaid claims;
- Suspend state funding of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund; and
- Intercept Golden LEAF funding.
