Republican legislative leaders used their weekly news conference to raise concerns about the final $21.3 billion budget bill moving through the House and Senate. A key concern involves debt. “New debt and unpaid capital obligations total near $1 billion, with no voter approval,” according to a GOP news release.

Many House Republicans and a handful of Senate Republicans voted for the budget plan, but even the supporters had concerns about the process. Speakers in the video below are Senate Minority Leader Phill Berger, House Minority Leader Paul Stam, and Reps. Nelson Dollar (a budget supporter), John Blust, Dale Folwell, and Bill McGee.
