The High Point Enterprise reports:
If the High Point City Council goes along with its Public Safety Committee’s recommendation, it soon could be against city ordinances to urinate or defecate in public places.
The committee reported Councilman Mike Pugh’s proposed ordinance to council with a favorable recommendation Tuesday. He first proposed the ordinance last spring.
“I’ve had several complaints,” Pugh told the committee. “It’s just indecent to have those behaviors. There are enough restrooms available. This is not acceptable behavior, and I think that’s something we need to address. It’s unsanitary to say the least.”
Note that possible discrimmination against people with bladder problems was taken into consideration when crafting the ordinance.
