The City of Hendersonville has determined that it can outcompete the private company it had contracted to collect recyclables. The city will take over responsibilities in two weeks. Recyclers may throw everything into one bin, and the city will sort through the unstratified till later. The city will use existing garbage trucks, and customers will use the bins they already have, until enough people get serious enough about recycling to justify an investment in 65-gallon containers.
