Roy Cordato’s article in today’s John Hood Journal column is a must read. (And I am not trying to butter up the boss.)

“When Your Only Tool is Coercion, Every Problem Looks Like Too Much Freedom”

In it, Roy documents the use of coercion by NC politicians to “solve” every conceivable problem.

As George Washington pointed out in his second inaugural address:
“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force.” And when
people choose to use government to accomplish their goals they are
choosing to use force, not reason and certainly not eloquence.

Why do we have to remind politicians that government is force?
