Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) is shining the light once again on wasteful federal government spending. Among the list:

Romancing the Web – Since 2019, The Popular Romance Project has received almost $1 million in funds from the National Endowment of the Humanities to “explore the fascinating, often contradictory origins and influences of popular romance as told in novels, films, comics, advice books, songs, and internet fan fiction, taking a global perspective-while looking back across time as far as the ancient Greeks.”

“NEH may love to waste money on this project, but taxpayers are likely to feel jilted subsidizing the promotion of a billion dollar industry that generated over $1.4 billion in 2012,” Coburn wrote.

We’re $17 trillion in debt and we’re spending money on this nonsense?
