It took most of the summer, but the day I had feared since the city of Charlotte’s new and “improved” recycling program started has arrived. I have no more room in my 96-gallon bin and recycle day is tomorrow. Probably have, oh, 10 to 20 more gallons of stuff which could be recycled. A massive smush effort might get most of it in the bin, all will be tough.
Recall that beginning with the announcement of the new plan I’ve pointed out that those of us doing three 18 gallon red bins a week (or 108 gallons every two weeks) would be pressed to make the 96-gallon bins work every two weeks.
Now, off to smush.
Update: I am very old, but somewhat consistent.
