Guilford County Board of Election has 106 of 106 precincts reporting and Bill Knight has a 51 to 48 percent lead over incumbent Yvonne Johnson in the Greensboro mayor’s race.

Update: Natural Science Center bond passes 61-38. I can’t wait to see what they’re going to deliver for $20 million.

Jim Kee handily defeats Nettie Coad in District 2.

Update 2 I’m still wary of Kee’s evident involvement in landfill politics before the election, but now would-be partner Johnson is gone. I sincerely hope Kee will evolve as a voice of reason on the council and not just be a hip male version of Goldie Wells.

Interesting mix, with Danny Thompson joining Nancy Vaughan and Robbie Perkins in the at-large seats. Dianne Bellamy-Small wins in District 1, as does Zack Matheny in District 3 and Trudy Wade in District 5. At-large incumbent Mary Rakestraw defeats sustainability candidate Joel Landau in District 4.
