I forgot to mention that former Speaker Newt ‘Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Later’ Gingrich was on CSPAN’s Washington Journal this morning.
A lady from Greensboro called in, and Gingrich said he was glad to hear from her. Gingrich noted he was familiar with Greensboro since he his daughter Kathy Lubbers was once the owner of the Carolina Roasting Co. However the caller, an elderly lady, immediately took Gingrich to task for getting his talking points from “Rush Lumbaugh.”
Speaking of Rush, while he was (still) thoroughly dissecting Obama’s tire inflation remark, he told a touching story about being middle class and needing a repair on his Bonneville and getting ripped off by a mechanic. A tear almost came to my eye.
