Ashley Russell, a native of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Pope Center intern for the fall semester of 2010. She is double majoring in journalism and history, with a minor in political science. She hopes to receive her bachelor of arts degree in 2013 and, after graduation, to become a book editor.
