Bill Fishburne is the morning talk show host on WZNN SuperTalk 1350 in Asheville, and in 2003 he was named by the American Legion North Carolina’s Talk Show Host of the Year. He also is a businessman and writer who has authored many magazine articles and three children’s books. He is co-founder and currently serves as editor of the weekly Asheville and Hendersonville Tribune newspapers. A graduate of N.C. State University with a degree in Product Design, Bill served in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces A-Team leader in Panama during the late 1960’s and maintains close contacts in the military community. He is a former chairman of the Buncombe County Republican Party and serves on the State Executive Committee. He is the father of three grown children and lives with his wife, Barbara, in Asheville.
