Dr. James Bailey is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Providence College, a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and a Senior Affiliated Scholar with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He holds a PhD in economics from Temple University. His research has focused on the effects of regulations on health care, health insurance and labor markets. He has published 20 articles in academic journals, including four articles evaluating the effects of Certificate of Need laws.
