Ron Joyce is president and CEO of Joyce Farms in Winston-Salem, N.C. He is responsible for transitioning the company from a commodity poultry distributor in the 1980’s to a specialty poultry, game bird, beef, bison & pork production company. Joyce Farms focuses on raising Heritage animals, on Regenerative Farms for the fine dining markets in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.

Ron grew up in Winston-Salem and received a BA in Business Administration from UNCC. He joined the company shortly after graduating.

Ron has previously served as: president of the National Poultry and Foods Distributor’s Association (NPFDA), Chairman of the NC Small Business Council, Chairman of the former Winston-Salem Merchants Association, a member of the NC Economic Development Board, a board member of the NC Free Enterprise Foundation, a board member of the Crosby Celebrity Golf Tournament, a board member of the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce.

He currently serves on the N.C. Leadership Council of NFIB.

Ron has received the NPFDA Man of the Year Award, the Poultry Vanguard Award, The Winston Salem Chamber Small Business Advocate Award, and the NFIB North Carolina Small Business Champion Award and was presented the Order of the Long Leaf Pine by NC Governor James G. Martin.

Ron is a pilot and holds a commercial license and instrument rating for single and multi-engine aircraft. In addition to flying, he enjoys motorcycle riding, snow skiing, and spending time with his family at Ocean Isle Beach.

Ron and his wife Elena live in Lewisville, N.C. and have four adult children.
