Skylar Olsen is a senior principal economist at Zillow. She joined Zillow in the summer of 2012, and built a team focused on investigating local housing markets and the importance of place in economic outcomes nationwide. Dr. Olsen is often quoted in newspapers and featured on news and radio programs across the country. Dr. Olsen has also offered testimony on fair housing before the United States House Financial Services Committee. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Washington, specializing in econometrics and environmental economics, and was honored for teaching excellence by the University of Washington.
