At last night’s meeting, Guilford County commissioners rejected the school board’s plan to purchase a site for a proposed southeast-area elementary school, agreeing with the more 200 residents speaking out that the site would not relieve overcrowding at Alamance Elementary.
Just heard the line of the night on Rush Radio, from none other than Commissioner Billy Yow, responding to view that there’s no land in the southeast part of the county.
“Ray Charles could find land in southeast Guilford County,” Yow said.
