Bill Bencini and Linda Shaw take Districts 2 and 3, respectively. Neither has Democratic opponents, so they’re in.
Shaw defeated local blogger Sam Spagnola by a 55-35 percent margin. The N&R reports:
Spagnola moved in to shake Shaw’s hand and congratulate her. He said the two agreed more than they disagreed but Shaw stopped him short, having something to say herself.
“I don’t appreciate the lies you’ve told about me,” she told Spagnola.
Spagnola said he was only trying to be gracious in defeat and was insulted.
“I’ll just be glad to go back to doing what I do,” Shaw said. “Mr. Spagnola can go back to his blog.”

Update: The N&R says “Shaw may see her convincing victory as a vote for the status quo. But given another chance to serve, she can and ought to do better.
