And what could those lessons be? Stop putting bonds on the ballot? Stop voting for bonds? No, it appears to be put more money into the pro-sales tax campaign next time. And don’t think there won’t be a next time, considering the fact that advocates were pleasantly surprised by the narrow margin.
When asked about the possibility of another sales tax hike on the ballot, High Point Chamber of Commerce President Tom Dayvault says “you never say never.”
