Just like the N&R’s Doug Clark, I was surprised to read that Senate candidate Kay Hagan would support a federal bill giving North Carolina government workers the right to collectively bargain.
Turns out Hagan and a spokesperson have spent a good bit of time backtracking on that position, saying she was “confused” by the question. But Mark Binker knows what he heard.
So either Hagan legitimately doesn’t understand the issue or, with some prompting, thought twice about her position. Either way it doesn’t look good.
Meanwhile, in trying to distance herself from Charles Schumer, Hagan says ““I’m running this campaign on the ground in Greensboro.” Then why is she traveling to Boston this weekend for a fundraiser to be held by the Secular Coalition?
