The State Board of Education will meet in Halifax County today. Halifax is a failing district that received extra attention (money, resources, and training) from the NC Department of Public Instruction.

Struggling charter schools, which are public schools, could use that kind of extra attention. But that would require the State Board of Education to do away with their “two strikes and you’re out” policy.

A question comes to mind – when will the SBE hold one of their monthly meetings at a charter school?

An answer also comes to mind – when hell freezes over.
