Nelda Holder at the Mountain Xpress has compiled a great summary of the things I should be tracking on this blog. It includes brief summaries of active bills and the local delegation’s voting records on the hot topics. In this particular update, I am amazed at the names of the bills and how they don’t pertain to the subject matter. (For example, “racial justice” means physicians are exempt from censure for assisting with executions, and “domestic abuse” pertains to animal custody.) More challenging is trying to figure out why the legislators consider so much intrusion to fall under their purview.
