Since today is Father’s Day and yesterday was the anniversary of the founding of the United States Army, I’m posting a couple of photos of my late father, J.W. Ham, who was a career-Army cryptographer in the Signal Corps, serving from 1940 to 1966. One is from from about 1947 when he was a master sergeant stationed in Alaska, where I was born. The other is from 1961 when he was a warrant officer stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Happy Father’s Day, Dad, and to all the other fathers out there.
