Now that taxpayers have told the city they’re gung-ho about a 2% tax increase, the city would like to use additional revenues for debt service on $1.1 million it wants to borrow for green projects. A public hearing will be hosted on May 14 to, if framed strategically, determine that citizens would rather the city borrow $2.2 million.
