Wow.
That sounds an awful lot like an elected official hanging out a For Rent sign. Did Cogdell get a bead on another quasi-governmental job he likes better? Did Cogdell get in the door three weeks ago at BB and find out it was more work than he was prepared to do? If so, you could couch that in “commitment” language and not leave this big honking mystery around yet another local non-profit and yet another Mecklenburg County official.
