Saddam Hussein, one of the biggest mass murderers since Stalin and Hitler, is on trial and all some journalists can do is kvetch about the fairness of his trial. Sheesh! This morning on BBC via NPR the talking head interviewed a Kurdish man who called it a “dream come true” that Saddam is in the dock, but the talking head kept talking about Saddam’s evident “humiliation” and said this is an example of “victor justice.” Somehow I don’t think we heard that kind of talk during the Nuremberg Trials. Truth is, that soldier who found Saddam in his spider hole could have just shot him in the head and that would have been justice, with no qualifiers.
