Maui is underserved with just one government-run hospital, but it fights against private competition. The wealthy can go to Oahu if they need treatment or an operation fast, but the average person (maybe a Joe the Plumber sort on Maui) who can’t afford it, just has to wait.

Of course, under Obamacare, everyone in the US will have to wait, unless he can afford to leave the country.
