John Locke Foundation Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray and Health and Human Services Policy Analyst Katherine Restrepo discussed those health care topics during the second week of a statewide tour. Restrepo previewed the Asheville event during a conversation with Pete Kaliner on WWNC Radio. Gray discussed the tour and other top state government news during her regular appearances on WTSB Radio. Executive Vice President Kory Swanson joined Gray and Restrepo for part of the tour, but he split off for a panel discussion at Western Carolina University on changes in North Carolina voting laws. Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops joins Bill LuMaye this afternoon on WPTF Radio to discuss his revised and expanded primer for North Carolinians on Common Core public school standards. Stoops discussed Common Core and state education spending during a presentation to the Cumberland County Republican Men’s Club and an Icon Lecture Series panel discussion in Durham. The Heartland Institute interviewed Stoops for an article about North Carolina’s debate over Common Core.
