Yesterday afternoon, my husband and I hosted WPTF’s Bill LuMaye show while Bill was in Wilmington covering the John McCain rally at Cape Fear Community College. WPTF producer Lisa Price managed to corral Sen. Richard Burr, who was with McCain, and Burr came on the air with us. To our surprise, Sen. Burr handed the phone to Sen. McCain and Rick and I were able to talk with the GOP nominee about his fight to win North Carolina and his views on curbing illegal immigration. Our interview ended when Sen. McCain had to take a call from the Prime Minister of Italy.
