….And that’s saying quite a bit about the gang down on Eugene Street.

The Guilford County Board of Education approved contract extensions for several top administrators, including chief financial officer Sharon Ozment and chief of operations Leo Bobadilla.

The vote wasn’t unanimous, however. Board member Darlene Garrett, frustrated by the cluelessness of the facilities staff, came right and said she votes against a contract extension for Bobadilla. Fellow board member Paul Daniels also voted against extending a contract to a staff member, but he declined which staff member.

It’s hard to believe said staff member wouldn’t be Bobadilla, considering the exchange he had with Daniels and Tuesday night’s board meeting, where — according to the Rhino —- the controversy over the mold problem at Oak Ridge Elementary reached the height of asininity.

Western region superintendent Angelo Kidd didn’t hold up any better under Daniels’ questioning, noting —no kidding —- he does “know that we’ve had issues in the building.”

But the true asininity was board attorney Jill Wilson’s attempt to ‘dope-slap’ both Kidd and Bobadilla during the meeting. Such secrecy only fuels speculation that there was nothing seriously wrong with Oak Ridge.
