The new Raleigh Convention Center, due to open in a year, is training its future employees at Wake Tech with the “Disney Institute’s principles of good service,” according to The News & Observer.

“They said they wanted to be different and really improve that
destination experience,” (Wake Tech president Stephen) Scott said. “We decided to see who’s the best
in the world in customer loyalty and customer service.”

The focus
on service is understandable given the competition Raleigh’s convention
center will face from other cities. Some of those cities are blessed
with marquee attractions, such as casinos or a more renowned downtown
nightlife.

What?  “The restaurant scene” and “where the governor lives” aren’t good enough?
