OK—the headline is different in the online version of Susan Ladd’s N&R column on yesterday’s Hillary-Obama joint appearance in Charlotte. But I still walk outside every morning and get my print edition (which I pay for, though sometimes I wonder why) and the headline’s different:
Clinton may lack the charm, but she brings the substance
So I read with interest, but turns out the whole column is about how wonderful Obama is before she finally gets around to writing Clinton “has substance, and it was policy, not puffery, that drew deafening applause.”
As for the “optimism about America” Obama and Clinton supposedly share, well, I’m still looking for it, considering they and their followers are the ones telling us how crappy our country is considering it’s made up of greedy, racist, homophobic, transphobic polluting gun nuts……
