From the woman who said “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good,” now there’s this:
The other day, the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits and I want to put them in a strategic energy fund that will begin to fund alternative, smart energy alternatives and technology that will begin to actually move us toward the direction of independence.
Examine the logic here. Companies are offering a wildly popular product (“the highest profits in the history of the world”). Hillary wants to penalize them for that to fund an obviously unpopular political gambit. That is, she wants to take profit from an entrepreneur to start up and fund a government-instituted competitor. Why? To “liberate” consumers from the entrepreneurs providing them the product they clamor for. The self-defeating abject stupidity of this Stalinist proposal staggers the sensible imagination.
