Recently, Troy Kickler delivered a lecture entitled “Demanding Government Responsibility: The Regulators in Colonial North Carolina” to the Rowan County History Club (63 in attendance.)  During the presentation, he paid special attention to events that occurred in Rowan County during the 1760s and early 1770s and relayed the concerns that Rowan Regulators had concerning how corrupt leaders, namely John Frohock, used public office to obtain wealth.
