To think people were sitting at home watching football when they could have been at Bennett College listening to the TRC panel debate whether or not the Klan-Nazi shooting were in Greensboro or of Greensboro.
Heavy stuff.
While the Rev. Z Holler spoke of getting the “hog of Nov. 3, 1979, out of the steam so we can drink the pure water of reconciliation,” the money quote came from, of all people, Councilwoman Dianne Bellamy-Small:
“We’re not about the truth. We’re about hiding things and spinning the story you want to spin, and if anyone stands up and says, ‘Hey, that’s not right,’ we crucify them.”
Anyone else see the irony in that statement?
