Update: War Memorial Auditorium bond is raised to between $47 million and $50 million for essentially a new performing arts center.

There’s a slight catch in Greensboro, though:
At tonight’s meeting, the council is also scheduled to request a Nov. 4 ballot measure for $200 million worth bonds for street improvements, War Memorial Auditorium renovations, parks and housing.
That’s the auditorium, not the coilseum. Someone please tell me what could possibly cost $45 million, aside from tearing the place down building a new one.
