The first lady mugs for a picture taken with a cell phone camera. The person taking the picture is a homeless guy she is about to serve at a DC shelter. Only under capitalism are the poor so well off that they can both afford to buy a cell phone camera and to pay the monthly service charge. And that is one of the great blessings of a market system.
This makes for an interesting contrast with poverty under socialism. The second picture is from India where socialism reigns and where there is universal health coverage and most of the other programs espoused by Michelle’s husband. The Indian Family is living on a dollar a day–I guess that might be enough to pay a cell phone bill. We can only pray that the government of India will see the light and allow their people to enjoy the blessings of capitalism and that the government of our country will see this same light.
