The N&R reports Honda Aircraft is now saying “the majority of the jobs associated with its proposed $80 million expansion at the Piedmont Triad International Airport will come at the latter end of the five-year period, not at the beginning as originally planned.”

I understand Honda is claiming the number of jobs —-400-plus —–will remain solid, and that incentives and that $1.29 million in incentives from Greensboro and Guilford County would be paid as jobs are created. But that doesn’t include the $8.1 million Honda is requesting from PTI. I also understand the project is viewed as a long-term boost for the Triad economy.

But Honda still remains quiet about the details of the project. A public hearing will be held Tuesday, and it will be very interesting to watch.
