John Locke Foundation President John Hood continues to provide expert commentary for statewide and national audiences. Hood returned to the radio airwaves this week for appearances with Barlow Herget on State Government Radio and with Don Curtis on Curtis Media Group’s “Carolina Newsmakers” program. Meanwhile, Investor’s Business Daily interviewed Hood for an article about unions’ discontent with moderate Democrats in Congress. The Durham Herald-Sun‘s editor complimented Hood in a column about the state’s business climate. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in daily e-mails this week Hood’s columns on the problems associated with tax increases, the likely electoral impact of North Carolina’s recent political scandals, and the proper interpretation of recent poll results. The political scandal column also ended up linked from a Web site dubbed NoShameNews.com. Hood’s latest contributions to National Review Online’s primary blog, “The Corner,” attracted attention from Top Conservative Blogs, Conservative Blog Watch, Liberal Whoppers, Silobreaker, News Spider, and Daylife.com.
