John Locke Foundation President John Hood continued to offer his expertise to audiences at the state and national level in recent weeks. The Associated Press interviewed Hood for a story about Gov. Beverly Perdue’s new budget efficiency panel. Among the outlets using the piece were the Wilmington Star-News, Hendersonville Times-News and the Web sites for WBT Radio and WRAL and WCNC Television. The Durham Herald-Sun consulted Hood for an article about former Lt. Gov. Dennis Wicker’s future political prospects. Greensboro News & Record editorial page editor Allen Johnson cited Hood in a column about Star Trek fanaticism. N.C. Senate Republicans highlighted Hood’s work three times in the last two weeks, promoting columns about North Carolina voters’ pessimism, prison reform, and embattled Democratic Sen. R.C. Soles. Hood also continued his regular contributions to National Review Online, with blog posts for “The Corner,” “Critical Condition,” and “Planet Gore.”
