Charlotte-area radio listeners had a chance one week ago to hear from John Locke Foundation President John Hood. He joined Tara Servatius on WBT to discuss a recent column on school spending transparency. Hood’s columns attracted interest from other quarters as well. The N.C. Association of Realtors highlighted his column about the sales pitch county commissioners have used to win support for sales tax hikes. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in their daily e-mail messages Hood’s columns on Medicaid reform, the state’s charter school cap, and the Tea Party movement. The Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association and Asheville Tea Party blog also liked the latter work. (Speaking of tea parties, the YES! Weekly blog noted JLF’s planned participation in an upcoming tax day tea party.) Hood’s regular contributions to National Review Online’s main blog, “The Corner,” attracted attention in recent weeks from Top Conservative Blogs and Politifi.com.
