John Locke Foundation President John Hood used his national platform with National Review Online’s “Critical Condition” blog this week to highlight one of the most effective criticisms of the Obama administration’s health care proposals. Hood also attracted attention for his work in other areas. WCNC Television aired an interview with Hood that criticized Salisbury for its efforts to compete with the private market in providing fiber-optic cable service. The Raleigh Telegram also quoted Hood in a column about this year’s winners and losers in the state budget debate. State Senate Republicans also plugged in a daily e-mail blast Hood’s column reacting to a court ruling that struck down one element of the state’s program for taxpayer-funded judicial elections.
