John Locke Foundation President John Hood‘s latest appearance with Bill LuMaye on WPTF featured a discussion of the misguided proposal to spend taxpayer dollars on a new passenger rail system for the Triangle. A recent column in the Mount Olive Tribune praised Hood’s work. (Virtually every week two of the commentators on the political scene are two old media folk, John Hood of the John Locke Foundation and Chris Fitzsimon, of NC Policy Watch. While they represent both ends of the political spectrum, I personally like both of them, and I find positions they each state, from time to time, that 1 agree with.) N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in their daily press emails this week Hood’s columns on the Democratic Party’s recent sexual harassment scandal, North Carolina’s need for better roads, and three North Carolina governors who focused on transportation issues.
